Weather Warning, from weather.com

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ANCHORAGE HAS ISSUED A WIND CHILL ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 12 PM AST TUESDAY.

INCREASING NORTH WINDS COMBINING WITH BELOW ZERO AIR TEMPERATURES WILL PRODUCE WIND CHILL READINGS OF 30 TO 45 BELOW ZERO THROUGH CHANNELED TERRAIN. THESE CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.

The high down South here at my house tomorrow is ... 79 degrees. :D

Hi Lauren!

In response to a comment you left on one of the posts of mine on YLCF- yes, that picture is indeed of Alaska! :) I grew up there, and it certainly does have it's own unique beauty doesn't it? I moved to Colorado after 15 years, and even though I rather love the sunshine, and am thankful that Colorado has some rugged places too, I do miss Hatcher's Pass and my old haunts sometimes.

I've stumbled across your blog from time to time, and saw that you are marrying and moving to Alaska! How neat!

Many blessings to you, Chantel

Hello - I found your blogspot by finding other blogs with "Pamela's Prayer" under favorite movies... I've greatly enjoyed reading your blog!!! :) I have a twin sister who has Down's Syndrome and I have celiac, which is the gluten-free diet mentioned on your family's blog... The story of Katelyn Grace is beatiful!
Anyway, I just wanted to leave a comment to let you know I "stopped by" and invite you over to my blog sometime if you ever get a few minutes. It's in the very beginning stages of development so there's not a lot on there, but I'm working on it! :) I was very excited to find your blog and I will be back! :)

Hi, Lauren! I remember you and your family. The Coastal Chamber Musicians, I think, or something close :-). I love strings (don't play them myself), so I enjoyed the music.

I would be very interested in the information your mom has on cod liver oil, if you are able to find it and share. You could e-mail me at susan dot garrison at gmail dot com, if that is easier than blog comments. I actually stopped taking the cod liver oil capsules late in my first trimester because it was hard for me to keep down with all the nausea, and have been taking another DHA supplement instead, called Expecta (it's a non-fish source of DHA). But I was thinking about resuming again at some point, so I'd like to know more before I do.

Anyway, it was fun hearing from you. Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!

Oh my what a lovely blog you have. So beautiful. I followed a link regarding viewing children as blessings. I was homeschooled as well growing up and am now teaching my own little ones.
